Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – December 05, 2025 – The Ethiopian Securities Exchange (ESX) had the honor of hosting a delegation from the Nigerian Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for a learning and experience-sharing visit focused on strengthening cooperation and mutual understanding between the two institutions.

The engagement provided an excellent platform for ESX to exchange insights with a regulator that has played a significant and influential role in shaping Nigeria’s capital market ecosystem. Discussions covered market infrastructure, regulatory approaches, and the development of transparent and efficient market systems.

During the visit, the delegation expressed appreciation for the significant progress Ethiopia has made in building a modern and efficient capital market infrastructure, noting the strong foundations ESX is putting in place as a newly established market.
