Capital market regulatory environment
ESX will serve as a licensed securities exchange platform by the ECMA in line with Article 30 and 31 of the Capital Market Proclamation No.1248/2021. ECMA is the apex regulator of the capital markets in Ethiopia and is responsible for setting the legal framework and regulating entities interested in participating ESX.

RULEBOOK OF THE ETHIOPIAN SECURITIES EXCHANGE
As part of ESX mandate of organizing an orderly, transparent, and efficient market, it is required to have in place rules and procedures necessary for the proper and efficient regulation, operation, management and control of The Exchange and the securities market operated by The Exchange.

INTERPRETATIVE GUIDELINE TO ESX RULE BOOK
The purpose of the IG/EC is to provide clarity on certain provisions of the Rulebook of ESX, 2024, and it is expected that readers and users will consult the applicable advisers as may be relevant for the achievement of such reader’s or user’s activities and objectives, provided that such activities and objectives do not violate applicable laws, directives and rules governing the Ethiopian capital market.

ETHIOPIAN SECURITIES EXCHANGE FEES SCHEDULE
These schedules of fees shall be applicable to all issuers, members and trading participants in their relationship with the exchange as issuers, members and trading participants.
